Hutto Gunners (which led to the merger with Austin Texans soccer club)
Austin Texans Fc
Liverpool FCA
One World
River City Rangers

I have built academy programming as well as coached both girls and boys at various levels of select. The highest being an 02’ boys team that played premier and also an 06/07 girls team at one world that played ecnl.
Approach/Philosophy:
As a coach and trainer my focus is on preparation. Coaches are on the sidelines, players are on the field. Being a good soccer player is similar to being a good Jazz musician. The best Jazz musicians learn all the rules of music theory first before breaking them when on stage. Similarly, I provide basic soccer “rules and theory” that they can then apply more creatively on the field. In addition, while training, I like to put players in situations where their technical ability is being challenged as well as their problem solving ability and tactical skills. Technical mastery of the ball is the corner stone of my training methodology, but not without a tactical context and understanding of ones skills and technique. Also connected to my training approach is a focus on speed and agility - in part to promote career longevity and physical fitness. When working with kids my goal is to produce quality players and people. Soccer is one of the best avenues to learn many valuable lessons about oneself and about life.
